Qualifications:
University of Toronto Graduate student in the Faculty of Information with a background or demonstrated interest in rare books, archives and special collections. Strong service orientation. Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with the public and other staff. Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and oral). Familiarity with bibliographical databases (including the U of T Library Catalogue) and the internet using advanced searching techniques. Ability to do detailed work with speed and accuracy with minimal supervision. Demonstrated good attendance and work performance record. Technical skills including word processing, database and spreadsheets.

Duties:
Under supervision of the librarian-in-charge, provides in-person general reference and research assistance to patrons onsite by providing catalogue and other basic information during weekday hours. Refers complex queries to librarians. To assist with special library projects. Other duties as assigned.
