  4. Qualifications:

    University of Toronto student. Demonstrated excellent public service and interpersonal skills required. Strong service orientation, confidence and tact required. Ability to deal effectively with the public and staff in person. Familiarity with the university, the Robarts Library building and in-person and online services desirable. Ability to troubleshoot simple technological issues desirable. Ability to shelve and push books trucks required. Demonstrated good work performance, attendance and punctuality essential. Ability to work in a team required.

  5. Duties:

    SLA iStaff will perform public service, building navigation, troubleshooting, rule enforcement, user support and outreach in Robarts Library. Working with the iStaff supervisor, information gathering about user experience of the Robarts Library building will also be required. Some shelving and shelf reading may also be required. Will be required to wear an identifying iStaff vests designed for the service.

  6. Hours per Week:
    Monday to Friday. Shift work 11 am – 3pm or 1 - 5 pm. Maximum twenty-four (24) hours per week
  7. Hourly Rate:
    $16.98, $17.49, $18.19, $18.86, $19.57
