  5. Duties:

    The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) is Canada’s only all-graduate institute of teaching, learning, and research, recognized as a leader in graduate education, initial and continuing teacher education, and research in education and human development. The OISE Library is committed to providing students, staff, and faculty in OISE’s 4 academic departments and other members of the UofT community with a safe, inclusive, and anti-racist space. Working collaboratively within the OISE Library team, you will help to create a welcoming and user-centered experience at our Service Desk. As someone dedicated to providing excellent customer service, you will:

    - assist users with quick catalogue questions and directions
    - help users sign out books, renew, and return materials
    - book study rooms
    - troubleshoot wifi and other basic tech issues
    - help users locate materials in the Stacks as you are re-shelving library materials

    When you aren’t assisting users or shelving, you will work on a variety of collections projects.

    This part-time role offers training and mentorship. You will have the opportunity to further develop your communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills. You’ll also acquire experience working in an academic library, and supporting graduate students, staff, and faculty in a university teaching and research environment.

  6. Hours per Week:
    a minimum of 4 hours per week. Evenings and / or weekend work required.
