Qualifications:
Must:
(1) be a UofT graduate student in the archives stream of the Faculty Information
(2) have a demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with archival sources
(3) value inclusion, diversity, and accessibility
(4) have a strong service orientation
(5) possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
(6) demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills
(7) have strong interpersonal, collaborative, and teamwork skills
Must have experience:
(1) preparing materials and creating metadata for digitization
(2) arranging and describing archival records of private donors and organizations
(3) working with descriptive databases
(4) collecting and listing print materials
Accuracy and attention to detail is essential

Duties:
The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) is Canada’s only all-

The OISE Library is committed to providing students, staff, and faculty and other members of the U of T community with a safe and inclusive anti-racist space. Please consider joining our committed team of staff and being part of an innovative, inclusive, and rewarding workplace.Working collaboratively with the Director of the OISE Library and members of the OISE Library Reference and Research team, you will provide reference and research support for UofT students, faculty members, and external researchers with questions about the OISE Library’s Ontario Historical Education Collections (http://oise.library.utoronto.ca/specialcollections-ontario-historical-education).
With guidance from the University Archivist and consistent with archival theory and the University Archives’ practices and policies, you will undertake the basic processing of print material and archival records and help to prepare print materials for digitization. You will also help raise awareness about the OISE Library’s historical and archival collections through social media and online finding aids.
The position will involve working on-site at the OISE Library and may occasionally involve remote work.
