  4. Qualifications:

    University of Toronto graduate student; graduate studies in Library and Information Studies or a related discipline preferred.

    Experience with searching online bibliographic databases and finding MARC records for copy cataloguing preferred.

    Aptitude for cloud-based platforms for collaborative document editing and file management, preferably in a workplace setting.

    Ability to read a non-English Western language such as German or Polish is an asset.

    Excellent oral and written English skills essential.

    Ability to do detailed, repetitive work with speed and accuracy.

    Demonstrated good work performance and attendance record.

    Ability to carry boxes and push book trucks, and comfortable with heavy lifting.

    Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments promptly and accurately with minimal supervision.

  5. Duties:

    Under general supervision:

    Review German and Polish library materials for inclusion in Backlogs Cataloguing Project.

    Assist with creating preliminary batches of MARC records for distribution to vendors.

    Update departmental records for tracking progress through project.

    Assist with database updates as necessary.

    Follow detailed procedures to ensure accuracy.

    Assist with physical processing as necessary.

    Other related duties may be assigned.

    Please note: The successful applicant will be required to work on-site (St. George Campus).

  6. Hours per Week:
    Up to 20 hours
  7. Hourly Rate:
    $31 , $31.91
