  4. Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications

    · Current or incoming University of Toronto Graduate Student

    · Must value equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility

    · Curiosity and interest related to artificial intelligence and its role within higher education

    · Strong desire to learn about AI, machine learning, automations, and data-driven technologies, and their applications in library and information services

    · Interest in teaching and instruction

    · Interest in event planning

    · Excellent oral, written, and web-based communication skills

    · Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

    · Ability to manage workflow, projects, and multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

    · Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    · Demonstrated strong customer service orientation

    · Highly reliable and able to commit to working consistent shifts

    Preferred Qualifications:

    · Experience in teaching and instruction, especially related to information literacy and eLearning (i.e. creating online modules)

    · Experience creating instructional videos using software such as Camtasia Studio, or related applications

    · Experience in event planning and support

    · Familiarity with AI tools, large language models, or machine learning concepts, even at an introductory level

  5. Duties:

    The AI Public Service GSLA position will assist with research consultations, offer instructional sessions and develop asynchronous teaching content, with a core focus on AI critical fluencies. This position will report to the AI Readiness Librarian. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about how AI is transforming the higher education landscape and how the library plays an essential role in this evolution.

    · Provide instruction and reference support.

    · Assist in the development and teaching of workshops and informational sessions to students and faculty.

    · Maintain, update, and enhance online learning objects including libguides and videos related to AI fluencies.

    · Provide program and event support for AI Public Service events.

    · Attend and present projects and initiatives at library committees, as appropriate.

    · Complete other special project work as assigned.

  6. Hours per Week:
    15 hours per week, to be scheduled Monday to Friday, between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m EXISTING VACANCY: Yes

    $31, $31.91
