Qualifications:
University of Toronto Faculty of Information or Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design graduate student. Experience in using University of Toronto Library catalogue and subject databases. Intermediate search skills including searching the library catalogue and electronic databases using Boolean search techniques. Demonstrated ability to do detailed work, and to complete work assignments promptly and accurately with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated good work performance and attendance record.
Desirable: Experience conducting art and/or architecture research and knowledge of art and/or architecture resources. Experience supporting instruction and/or online module creation.
We expect the candidate to be stronger in some qualifications listed above than others; we are committed to helping our future colleague expand their skills, as well as learning from their areas of strength.

Duties:
1. Provide research assistance and consultations for students in architecture, visual arts, and geography.
Working closely with the Head Librarian and library staff, provide research assistance and consultations that support student learning. Assist users in identifying and accessing library resources, developing search strategies, and navigating discipline specific information sources.2. Support library instruction.
Assist in planning and delivering course-integrated instruction sessions and workshops on research methods, information literacy, library resources, data management, and emerging digital scholarship and AI-assisted research tools.3. Develop and maintain digital learning resources.
Create and update online research guides, tutorials, instructional videos, and other digital learning materials. Help ensure that instructional content is current, accessible, and aligned with the academic curriculum.4. Assist with special projects, outreach activities, and other library services as needed.
